Harrison Zuckerberg is a Fantasy Football Fellowship coach and contributor. This is his weekly blog where he asks the question, is he LEEEEGIT and provides insights following Week 6. (Harrison pronounced legit as leegit one time on the podcast, and it stuck!)
As a Fantasy Manager, you may have these players on your roster or you may be trying to figure out if they are worth acquiring on the Waiver Wire.
Caleb Williams
After a shaky start to his career, Caleb Williams has now scored over 23 fantasy points in back-to-back games, including a 4-TD performance this past week against the Jaguars in London. Surprisingly, the media hasn’t shown Williams much love this season, likely due to the breakout of Jayden Daniels. However, let's not forget that Williams was drafted first overall for a reason. He has noticeably improved each week and is LEGIT. Some may overlook his recent performances since they were against the struggling Panthers and Jaguars, but after the Bears return from their bye this week, they face the Commanders, Cardinals, and Patriots—teams that all rank in the top 12 for opponent QBR allowed. I expect Williams to continue his hot streak of beating up on weaker teams.
Gabe Davis
Gabe Davis had his first big fantasy game of the season, scoring 21.5 points this weekend against the Bears. However, this was mainly due to his two touchdowns, his first of the season. Despite his potential for week-winning games, Davis is NOT LEGIT. So far this season, he has been the clear third option in the Jacksonville offense, averaging only 35 yards per game. I don't expect his production to change moving forward. We know what type of player he is from his time in Buffalo, and the Jaguars are an inconsistent football team. Both the Jaguars and Davis are too unpredictable to be trusted in fantasy.
Demario Douglas
Rookie QB Drake Maye started for the first time this weekend, and New England's offense finally showed some life. Douglas was Maye’s favorite target and has been the most involved player in the New England passing game this season. With Drake Maye at QB, Douglas is LEGIT. I expect him to continue putting up solid numbers as the number one target in this offense, especially with Maye being more inclined to throw the ball downfield.
Running Backs to Look Out For:
Isaac Guerendo – After Jordan Mason left the game with an injury, Guerendo stepped in and looked explosive in the 49ers' offense. During the offseason draft process, Guerendo had an incredible combine, posting numbers rivaled only by Jonathan Taylor and Breece Hall. If Mason sits out this week, like every 49ers backup RB before him, Guerendo is LEGIT.
Ty Chandler – The Vikings were on bye this week, but in their previous game, Aaron Jones left with an injury and was replaced by Ty Chandler. Jones enters the week questionable, but if he is unable to play, Chandler should have an opportunity for significant volume. Chandler hasn’t been exceptional so far in his career, but if he gets the start, he is a LEGIT flex option for this week.
